Fundraising


Our annual fundraiser is the event that helps in the biggest way to fund scholarships, children’s programs, and ongoing support of the Opera House. The 2020 and 2021 Spring Luncheons were cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Beginning in 1979, Woodstock Fine Arts Association's Spring Luncheon Fundraiser was held in the home of Helen Wright. Funds raised were used to purchase furniture for the newly renovated Opera House. In the early years the tradition was to host the luncheon in a home. All board members worked together the day of the event, having set the tables with their finest china and prepared the food, welcomed and served the guests. Board members past and present decorated themed tables with their own unique, ingenious and creative ideas. Eventually the event was hosted at a local club where guests enjoyed a featured speaker and took part in a Silent Auction. Guests shared time with friends while supporting the arts in McHenry County.
